Code of conduct

The TAZPIN event exists to provide to the community and help others share in the joy we all find in this hobby and sport. We want everyone to have fun, in a safe and welcoming environment at all of our events. Everyone attending, including special guests and volunteers, is required to agree with the following code of conduct.

The pinball machines in use have been provided by private collectors from all over the state and must always be treated with respect and care.

All players are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous manner and to contribute to a safe and welcoming play environment.

TAZPIN officials noticing visitors with excessively aggressive playing or abusive handling of a machine will be asked to leave the event with no refund. (Abusive handling such as punching, kicking, lifting, tipping, or rocking a machine, or hitting the glass in any way).

Do not place food or beverages on the playfield glass.

Parents must supervise their kids at all times. Encourage the excitement you see in younger generations; they are the next game coders, designers, artists, and entrepreneurs.

Please report any problems you find by advising a TAZPIN team member.

If you start a game, please finish your game. After finishing each game, look around to see if others are waiting to play it. If so, please allow the next person(s) to play. If you want to play more, please go to the back of the line and wait your turn again or play another machine for a little while. Playing a multi-player game is a good way to socialize with others!

TAZPIN is a family friendly event and excessive use of foul language or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated in any way.

COVID-19 policy

TazPin is committed to taking all reasonable steps to provide the safest possible environment. All attendees, vendors, organisers, supplies, and others present are required to be aware of and comply with the COVID-19 safety guidelines and protocols in place at that time by the Tasmanian Department of Health. In light of ongoing COVID-19 concerns, we encourage the wearing of masks while at the event; especially for those that may be “high risk”. We remind all attendees to take steps to social distance where possible and to undertake sound hygiene practices throughout the sessions. Ensuring you are fully vaccinated is another way to minimise the risks associated with COVID-19.

The event venue, Australian Italian Club Of Launceston, may also have their own requirements that all attendees will be required to adhere to if applicable.

Importantly, if you are not feeling well and are displaying COVID-19 symptoms, please do not attend the event. We suggest you test accordingly for COVID-19 and notify the organising team immediately to advise you will not be in attendance. As outlined in the Terms and Conditions of ticket sales, a refund will be offered in this instance.
